The Loriot M Low Machine Wagon was built by the GWR between 1925 and 1927 to diagram G14. They carried running numbers 42197-42201 and ran in service well into BR days. They were designed with a sloping floor so that a vehicle could be driven onto the wagon from an end loading dock and then sit within the well of the wagon, chained into place using the securing holes in the wagons side curb rail. This enabled tall road vehicles to remain within the loading gauge.

THE MODEL:

Our model, although reproduced to 1.54” – 1’ (in 7.25" gauge), is more of a representation than a like for like scale replica, allowing us to produce a reliable and useable model that still looks just the part. All steel construction and modern engineering techniques allow this model to be used on a garden railway or club track alike whether it is used just behind a loco or shunted in a yard, without losing detail.

DEPOSIT: The amount show above for checkout will be the Deposit only, at 25% of the full cost. The deposit for these "built to order" models is non-refundable. The balance, plus any necessary shipping costs, will be required shortly before completion. We normally request this balance when the model reached the painting stage.

DELIVERY LEAD TIMES: Due to the nature of the building of these models, which are all built from scratch, lead times can vary from around 8 weeks to several months, dependent  on our workload at time of ordering. We do not give guaranteed delivery dates - if delivery time is critical to you we strongly advise you to talk to us about this before placing an order.
